Overall, fifth grade FOCUS had its ups and downs. I really liked my time here. I loved what we did in Language Arts. It really helped my mental abilities and I enjoyed every bit of it. FOCUS math was my least favorite, you could say I had some troubles with that, you could say it was challenging, not hard. Hard is not a word we use in FOCUS but, isn't that what it is suppose to do? It was not easy, but that shows you that FOCUS is doing what it needs to do to-mind-stretch me. Logic and analogies was also challenging, but it made you think out of the box, the way most people don't think. I'll miss it, and I got something great out of it, it was nice.
I'll miss you so much Rock Springs! I have been here since Kindergarten and I have had so many special memories with friends, teachers, and even the food and actual school building. I loved the way teachers taught things, and I love the field trips, and the way things were set up. The only things I did not like were the school lunch food and the music they played. I Can't imagine going to another school, I have been here for so long! I'm a little nervous about Middle School, but I'll be fine, I'll survive. It's just school, a new school. Rock Springs Elementary, good luck! I hope to come and visit. I'm, excited to see the new generations of kids that come.
Also in FOCUS, we are doing a Shakespeare play, for Reader's theater. I love Shakespeare so much! He was really a talented person, no wonder why his plays still live on. We as a FOCUS class are doing one of his plays called A Midsummer's Night's Dream. This play is about romance, by far, and four lovers are forced to marry the person that they don't love. One girl loves another Girl's man that she is suppose to marry but can't because she has to marry a man that another girl loves and he loves that girl too. Twisted up, right? I'm still trying to get this whole story myself, it is really hard to explain.Once some one reads the script, or sees the play, they will understand. Shakespeare seems to be a man of great plays that are great, but hard to understand at first. My character is named Helena and she is supposed to be marrying Lysander, a man who loves Hermia, who loves him, but is going to be married to Demetrius, who loves Helena. In the end, after a long commotion of who loves this and who loves that, Hermia marries Lysander, which is the man she loves and Helena marries Demetrius, the man she loves. Sorry, you probably have a headache.
Everything is all coming together in 5th grade FOCUS with Mrs. Z. It is a truly great experience and I am glad to learn more and finish off the year with a satisfying smile. I'm glad to hear your comments! I'm really excited to start blogging, this sounds and is really interesting, and I hope to blog more!

Good buy Rock Springs
Well I'm really going to miss this school. Good thing I still have somethings to look for ward to. I'm doing this play in focus, and it is by Shakespeare. It is called A Mid-Summers Nights Dream. What I really like that I am one of the narrators. I like it, because I never did that before.
Pulse I'm in another play in A.C. math. I play the bodyguard. I love it, because I get to carry people, and I don't get in trouble for it. I also were fake facile hair.
Before I finish this I want to say that I will always love the school. I made friends. And it put me in the right path. It doesn't even compare to the other school. That is why I and everyone should remember the school an faculty of Rock Springs Elementary School!

5th grade focus
Focus
I've had a lot of fun and confusion in Focus, but i still enjoyed it. I really didn't like the first few years beacuse I didn't know wha the heack to do! I really didn't fully understand Focus until the 4th grade. Mrs.Zawacki's teaching then was easier to understand, and I finally understood it. Now, I kind of understand everything. Focus allways seems carzy, but I some how allways pull through.
Rock SpringsElementry
I've allways enjoyed being at RSE. I have had many fun experinces here i'll never forget. In
Mrs. Anerson's kindergarten class I read around 2000 books and won Freddy the frog as a
prize. In 1st grade in Mrs. Amanda's classroom I got to take home the class pet tadpoles. In 2nd grade I went on a cool feild trip the the Herritage Center. In 3rd grade I got to bring home Hopper and Jumper. In the 4th grade I did a cool experiment that involved me chewing gum in class. Now, I had and asome feild trip to Calloway, one to a Gwinnett Braves game, and pretty much every thing were doing now Is just the grand fanially for this school!
Shakespeare
The play we made is a verry funny show! I play Duke Thesus, and i'm kinda mad about that because i only have 7 lines but at least i'm in the play. A friend in my class that plays Peter Quince really rocked at it! I think there might needs to have some improving with the play, but so far it's good.

Focus Review
focus
I've have very little time in focus, but the little time has helped me. Focus is challenging and the triple Venn diagrams are difficult.I dislike that we don't have recess on focus and don't like the analogies. I also do like things such as experiments and logic grids.Focus is always fun even on triple Venn diagrams and analogies.
Shakespeare
The play we did was a midsummer nights dream. I played lysander.Hermia loved lysander but Hermia's father did not like lysander.Since there were no women in plays all women parts were given to men.My favorite part of the play was it was fun but I didn't like i had to marry Hermia.
Farewell RSE
Rock Springs is my favorite school.I made new friends and still have the old ones.to make it even better mom mom is here with me.Rock Springs was fun and everyone was nice.Everyone welcomed me to my new school will always remember this school for the good things and bad things.

Focusing on FOCUS
FOCUS has been an amazing opportunity to me for many years. I've been in the FOCUS program since kindergarten, and I am now in the fifth grade, sitting in my FOCUS class writing this blog. Throughout all of my years in FOCUS, I've been given the chance to do many many things. I am able to share my ideas with all of my classmates, and I can use my imagination and creativity in everything I do. In kindergarten FOCUS, even though I was young, it was a learning experience. My friend and I were the only two people in FOCUS at that time, and during FOCUS, we would do a work sheet and maybe a mind bottler. Every single FOCUS day however, my friend and I would make up a puppet show and preform it for our teacher. I believe that was a great lesson/strategy, because it taught us both to use our imagination and creativity. In first grade FOCUS, my classmates and I did a lot of cool experiments and research projects. In second and third grade FOCUS, I had the same teacher, and we would do logic grids, analogies, and play games. The analogies and logic grids helped us to use our minds and the clues we were given. I now have the same FOCUS teacher in fifth grade as I did in fourth grade. We still do logic and analogies, but they are more complex. We've done balances, triple venn diagrams, and many other fun, new, and exciting activities. FOCUS is a fantastic program for children to be in. It makes us feel as if we are something greater than the world. Today's children are tomorrow's leaders, and FOCUS is something that helps us accomplish that goal. This program takes kids like my classmates and I to new levels of education, where we are callenged, which doesn't just prepare us for our future education, but it prepares us for our future lives.
Reader's Theater in FOCUS
In fourth and fifth grade, the FOCUS program preforms a play based on a book or a play. This is called Reader's Theater. In fifth grade this year, we are preforming A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. This play is about two people from different backgrounds who fall in love, and go on a crazy adventure so they can get married without the woman's father dissapproving their marriage. The family members, lovers, and fairies in this play are just characters of their own.
In this play, I am the character Titania, which is the fairy queen. Shakespeare's play was somewhat confusing at the beggining, because of all the love talk, because this person named Hermia liked Lysander, but she was supposed to marry Demetrius, so they ran away, but Hermia's sister Helena loved Demetrius. Demetrius chased Hermia and Lysander into the forest, and then Helena chased Demetrius into the forest. Then, these fairies were fighting(one of them is my character) so Oberon sends his assistant, Puck, to sprinkle love potion on people's eyes so they fall in love with the first thing they see. Then Puck put potion on the wrong people's eyes, so Hermia loved Demetrius, Demetrius loved Helena, Helena loved Lysander, and Lysander still loved Hermia. Then the love potion was removed from the people's eyes so they loved the same people in the beggining, except for the fact that Demetrius loved Helena now,and it was just all so confusing! Other than that, I think that the play is very exciting and some what mysterious because you don't know what's going to happen next. The only down side about about this is that the fairy king, Oberon, whom I'm supposed to be married to in the play, is shared by two girls, so I have to pretend that another girl is my huband. Not as easy as it sounds!
Good-bye Rock Springs
Rocksprings has been like a giant family to me. While I'm here, I feel like everyone just has a connection with the others. All of the teachers are best friends, and that reflects on the kids. I've been given many opprotunities for all six years I have been here. I have had many good times here, and I've collected many great memories. All the teachers and staff here are amazing. I cannot believe I am leaving this wonderful school. Now, I am taking one step forward, ready to take on new challenges and seek new opprotunities. Good-bye Rock Springs. I will miss you.
Sincerely,
Jenna

Godbye RockSprings
Since I started fifth grade FOCUS, I didn't really like it. I disliked it because I think some worksheets are too difficult for me. But sometimes I really enjoy focus! I like focus because I like to get away from class and go to a class that is really relaxing, quiet, and challenging at times. Since I'm going off to middle school next year I will no longer be in fifth grade focus. But I think that being in focus in fifth grade will help me in some classes in sixth grade. Since we do some 6TH grade A.K.S in focus but overall, I will really miss this school and fifth grade FOCUS.
Reader's Theatre.
I really like reader's theatre because I like to get into character and preform for my friends! I also like reader's theatre because we get to preform some of my favorite books or plays such as the play we are doing now! Which is A Midsummer Night's Dream written by Shakespeare. I really wanted Romeo and Juliet but I guess A Midsummer Night's Dream is OK. I remember last year preforming my play Under the Snow in front of my class. It was so embarrassing! It was because ALL my friends saw me do a British accent all I could say is WOW! But it was fun!
Farewell Rock Springs
I'm really going to miss this school. I don't even want to think about the last day yet. I'm really sad because my friend Shelby who has been in my third, second, and fifth grade class isn't going to the same middle school as I am so I will miss her a lot. Also I'm going to one of the biggest middle school's so I won't see all of my friends often. So really I will miss this school not just because of the friends but because of the teachers also. In all, I will miss this school very much. And I thank everybody who helped he get to this point in time.

Fifth Grade Focus
Fifth Grade Focus taught me things like balances and logic. I've been in focus since Third Grade and I didn't actually get anything until Fifth Grade. We also learned about Shakespeare. We learned about Shakespeare and now we are doing one of his plays.
Rock Springs was a great school where I've made lots of friends. Thankfully almost all of my friends are going to Creekland Middle School. The staff and teachers are great. My favorite grade was fifth Grade, it seemed like every week was something fun. Middle School will be harder because I'll be doing all the hard and long homework, Band, and football. The teachers are really strict and they expect you to be very responsible. I will miss rock Springs.
We learned about Shakespeare and now we are doing Midsummer's Night Dream. My part is okay but it gets boring because I only have three lines, so most of the time I just sit there.
