Overall, fifth grade FOCUS had its ups and downs. I really liked my time here. I loved what we did in Language Arts. It really helped my mental abilities and I enjoyed every bit of it. FOCUS math was my least favorite, you could say I had some troubles with that, you could say it was challenging, not hard. Hard is not a word we use in FOCUS but, isn't that what it is suppose to do? It was not easy, but that shows you that FOCUS is doing what it needs to do to-mind-stretch me. Logic and analogies was also challenging, but it made you think out of the box, the way most people don't think. I'll miss it, and I got something great out of it, it was nice.
I'll miss you so much Rock Springs! I have been here since Kindergarten and I have had so many special memories with friends, teachers, and even the food and actual school building. I loved the way teachers taught things, and I love the field trips, and the way things were set up. The only things I did not like were the school lunch food and the music they played. I Can't imagine going to another school, I have been here for so long! I'm a little nervous about Middle School, but I'll be fine, I'll survive. It's just school, a new school. Rock Springs Elementary, good luck! I hope to come and visit. I'm, excited to see the new generations of kids that come.
Also in FOCUS, we are doing a Shakespeare play, for Reader's theater. I love Shakespeare so much! He was really a talented person, no wonder why his plays still live on. We as a FOCUS class are doing one of his plays called A Midsummer's Night's Dream. This play is about romance, by far, and four lovers are forced to marry the person that they don't love. One girl loves another Girl's man that she is suppose to marry but can't because she has to marry a man that another girl loves and he loves that girl too. Twisted up, right? I'm still trying to get this whole story myself, it is really hard to explain.Once some one reads the script, or sees the play, they will understand. Shakespeare seems to be a man of great plays that are great, but hard to understand at first. My character is named Helena and she is supposed to be marrying Lysander, a man who loves Hermia, who loves him, but is going to be married to Demetrius, who loves Helena. In the end, after a long commotion of who loves this and who loves that, Hermia marries Lysander, which is the man she loves and Helena marries Demetrius, the man she loves. Sorry, you probably have a headache.
Everything is all coming together in 5th grade FOCUS with Mrs. Z. It is a truly great experience and I am glad to learn more and finish off the year with a satisfying smile. I'm glad to hear your comments! I'm really excited to start blogging, this sounds and is really interesting, and I hope to blog more!
